Scraps | March 1, 2019 | Card stock Strips
It was a lazy day. I made some strips today from scraps of card stock.
I have tried a million ways to shred up card stock.
A pasta cutter has been the best so far …
It offers a smoother edge for the card stock strips.
This is a low-tech way to make some strips. Plus, it’s easier to cut random pieces since you don’t have to put on a mat like with the silhouette.
Random scrap pieces of paper to repurpose.
It’s also easier (for me) to cut up random books, magazines, or catalogs with this type of cutter too.
Card stock paper is typically heavier than a text weight paper. It creates a different pattern than a quilling weight strip.

Here are my hearts for February. I have made several glue mistakes. Most dry clear, but I take the photos after I complete the heart.
Here’s my 2019 Vision Board. I completed it mid-ish February.

A little flower surrounded by beehive strips.
I’ve been asked how I make the heart shapes. It’s a single strip of card stock, creased in half, then glued at the top. You can shape it in several different ways too.
