Zoning

Zoning | Jan. 18, 2019| Zoning paper shredded| Text weight antique gold, crimped

I wove a background the other day, but didn’t use it. Today, I was in a pinch for time and decided to weave together the shredded zoning paper and some crimped strips.

The crimped texture gets lost in this pattern. I glued a cardboard heart to the woven strips and then cut out a larger heart shape. It’s tricky to keep the pattern.

I cut cardstock strips several different ways. This was cut with an electric shredder that doesn’t crosscut. The edge has a texture from the blades.

Tricky Circles

Tricky Circles | Jan. 15, 2019 |1/8-inch quilling strips

Circles can be tricky as you try to fill up spaces. Sometimes, circles become ovals.

These circles were created for another project. Since that was a UFO (unfinished object), I used them for today’s heart.
