Rolled Roses

Rolled Roses | Jan. 25, 2019 | Circles cut and rolled into flowers

I made these with a pattern from the Silhouette Store and cut them with my Silhouette.

I added extra roses to this sheet of cardstock.

Funny Coils

I found these while cleaning up my work area. In a few cases, two coils joined for a fuller shape.

Red and Gold

I used a border buddy tool to make these circles. The idea is to be more consistent with the size. I saw this pattern used to make earrings, so why not put it in a heart?

Black Eyes

My quest to use what I have left me with black eyes. Well, that’s what my son said when he saw my heart.

Tan Circles

I found these circles in a stack of shapes I made years ago. I cut the Cardstock strips with a desk top, hand-crank shredder.

Old School Colors

Old School Colors | Jan. 19, 2019 | cardstock cut using Silhouette

This was one of my first attempts to cut 1/4-inch cardstock strips. The cut file I made wasn’t consistent, so some rolls are higher and some shorter.

I did this in a rush. So, the black rolls aren’t as clean looking as they should be.

Zoning

Zoning | Jan. 18, 2019| Zoning paper shredded| Text weight antique gold, crimped

I wove a background the other day, but didn’t use it. Today, I was in a pinch for time and decided to weave together the shredded zoning paper and some crimped strips.

The crimped texture gets lost in this pattern. I glued a cardboard heart to the woven strips and then cut out a larger heart shape. It’s tricky to keep the pattern.

Sunflower-ish | January 17, 2019 | Shredder strips | Crimped | Cardstock

I cut cardstock strips several different ways. This was cut with an electric shredder that doesn’t crosscut. The edge has a texture from the blades.
